Blue-Green Ombré Matcha Latte
Ingredients:
1 tbsp butterfly pea flowers, ½ cup hot water, 1½ tsp matcha, 2 tbsp warm water (80°C), ¾ cup milk, 2 tsp sweetener, ice.
Method:
Steep the flowers 5 minutes, strain, chill. Whisk matcha with warm water until frothy. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the blue tea, then the sweetened milk, then float the matcha on top. Three bands blue, white, green. Stir to get a jade-teal drink.
Purple-to-Green Matcha Lemonade Latte
Ingredients:
¼ cup butterfly pea tea, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1½ tsp matcha, 2 tbsp warm water, ½ cup coconut milk, 2 tsp syrup, ice.
Method:
Mix lemon juice into the blue tea first it turns magenta. Pour over ice, add coconut milk, then top with whisked matcha. You get magenta at the base, cream in the middle, green on top. Best served unstirred with a straw so the drinker mixes it themselves.
Teal Fusion Latte (fully blended)
Ingredients:
¼ cup strong butterfly pea tea (chilled), 1 tsp matcha, 1 tbsp warm water, ¾ cup oat milk, 1 tbsp honey, ice.
Method:
Whisk matcha into warm water, then stir in the blue tea the two greens/blues merge into a deep teal. Shake everything with ice in a jar for 15 seconds and pour. The oat milk lightens it to a soft aqua.
