Magenta Sunrise Layered Latte

 

Ingredients: 

1 tbsp dried hibiscus, ½ cup hot water, 1 tsp honey, 1½ tsp matcha, 2 tbsp warm water (80°C), ¾ cup milk, ice.

 

Method: 

Steep hibiscus 5 minutes, strain, stir in honey, chill. Whisk matcha with warm water until frothy. Pour the hibiscus into a glass of ice, add milk slowly, then float matcha on top. Deep crimson at the base, blush middle, green cap. Stir for a dusty rose-green latte.

 

Hibiscus Matcha Cream Fizz

 

Ingredients: 

¼ cup strong hibiscus concentrate (2 tbsp flowers in ¼ cup water, steeped 8 min), 1½ tsp matcha, 2 tbsp warm water, ½ cup oat milk, 2 tbsp sparkling water, 1 tbsp vanilla syrup, ice.

 

Method:

Whisk matcha smooth. Combine hibiscus concentrate and syrup over ice, add oat milk, top with matcha and a splash of sparkling water. The fizz lifts the tartness and keeps matcha's bitterness from sitting heavy.

 

Coconut Hibiscus Matcha Latte

 

Ingredients: 

¼ cup chilled hibiscus tea, 1½ tsp matcha, 2 tbsp warm water, ½ cup coconut milk, 1 tbsp condensed milk, pinch of salt, ice.

 

Method:

Whisk matcha with warm water. Stir condensed milk and salt into the coconut milk. Pour hibiscus over ice, add the coconut mix, then the matcha. Coconut fat rounds off hibiscus's sharpness this is the smoothest of the three.
